Safeguarding

We are committed to keeping children and young people safe. All staff hold enhanced DBS checks and follow safer recruitment procedures. Our teachers receive regular safeguarding training and work in line with current statutory guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education.

Safeguarding is part of everyday practice. We work closely with families, schools and local authorities to share concerns appropriately and ensure students are supported and protected.

DBS and Safer Recruitment

All teachers hold enhanced DBS checks and are recruited using safer recruitment procedures. Identity, qualifications and references are verified before any work begins. We also carry out ongoing suitability checks and maintain up‑to‑date safeguarding and professional training.

Additional Policies and Documents

We hold a full set of policies to support safe, consistent and high‑quality practice. Schools and commissioning bodies can access these at any time, and additional documents can be provided on request. You can view our core policies below.

Insurance

We hold full public liability and professional indemnity insurance for all teaching and community‑based work. Copies of our insurance certificates can be provided to schools and commissioning bodies on request.

Training and Qualifications

All of our staff are qualified teachers with experience supporting children and young people with additional needs. This is central to our approach and ensures every learner receives high‑quality, consistent teaching from practitioners who understand curriculum, assessment and SEND practice.

Our team completes ongoing professional development in areas relevant to our work. This includes training in autism and sensory needs, co‑occurring conditions, PDA, trauma‑informed approaches and communication‑focused strategies. We also have training in Brick by Brick LEGO®‑based therapy, which can be used to support communication, social interaction and emotional development where appropriate.
